Leave a Bequest to MTS

Bequests

Why a bequest to MTS?

It is a lasting legacy that will have an impact for Christ for generations to come. Quality training of apprentices now will result in men and women serving Christ for their lifetime. They in turn will train apprentices who will in turn train apprentices…. and so on… until the day of glory!

You may not have the means now to support MTS, but a bequest will reflect the partnership you have with this strategic ministry.

Is it complicated?

No! If you don’t yet have a will, it may be time to organise one. You are never too young to ensure that your family and others are properly provided for. This may be the perfect time to think about which ministries you would like to support through a bequest.

If you have a current will, your solicitor can advise you how to amend it.

How do bequests work?

Options for leaving a bequest to MTS include;

  1. Giving a specific amount of money
  2. Giving a percentage of your estate
  3. residual bequest is a gift of whatever remains of your estate after family and other commitments have been fulfilled

How should my bequest be worded in my will?

Once you’ve decided on the nature and amount of the bequest, you can provide your solicitor with some wording to include in your will. Here is some wording that you can use.

1. To give a specific amount to MTS…

I give and bequeath the sum of $ ……………………… to the MTS Ltd for its general purposes and declare that the receipt of the Director (or other authorised officer) at the time shall be sufficient discharge of my executor’s duty.

2. To give a percentage to MTS…

I give and bequeath ……………per cent of my estate to the MTS Ltd for its general purposes and declare that the receipt of the Director (or other authorised officer) at the time shall be sufficient discharge of my executor’s duty.

3. To give the remainder of your estate to MTS

After the foregoing provisions of my will for my family and friends have been carried out I give the residue of my estate to the MTS Ltd for its general purposes and declare that the receipt of the Director (or other authorised officer) at the time shall be sufficient discharge of my executor’s duty.
