Hello! I’m Bek Moody.

This year, I am excited to be undertaking an MTS scholarship internship with the AuSIL in Darwin, NT. Since moving to the Northern Territory and learning more about AuSIL’s work in Indigenous Bible translation, God has grown in me a deep excitement for his gospel to be proclaimed to all nations.
Many Indigenous Christians still do not have access to Scripture in their heart language, and for others, English-language translations can create barriers to understanding God’s word.

Through this Bible translation internship, I will be working alongside Indigenous believers and the AuSIL Darwin team to support faithful and accessible Scripture translation. My work will include assisting with translation workshops, contributing to the Plain English Version of the Bible, and producing resources to support church leaders in remote communities. Alongside this, I will be undertaking part-time theological study with Sydney Missionary and Bible College via distance education, and will be overseen by my MTS trainer, Jenny.

• Pray for wisdom, humility, and teachability as I learn new skills and serve in a cross-cultural setting.
• Pray for clarity, accuracy, and faithfulness in translation work.
• Pray for the distribution of Bibles and Scripture resources, and that these would be deeply received in Indigenous communities.
