St Michael’s Collegiate School | Trainer: Kate Boughton

Hi! I’m Océ and in 2025-2026 I am undertaking the role of MTS trainee at St Michael’s Collegiate School. As part of this I am assisting the School Chaplain in the running of lunch time groups and serving in Chapel. Alongside my work at Collegiate, I am continuing to serve at my church’s youth group and Sunday school. On top of all my practical training I am also studying, working towards an Advanced Diploma of Theology.

I am excited for this opportunity to learn more about how to teach the Bible and share with young people about Jesus. Having this chance to try new things, step out of my comfort zone and grow in my faith and understanding is one I am incredibly grateful for. As a past student of Collegiate I have the unique position of having pre-existing knowledge and relationships with many of the students. I am excited to build upon these relationships that I’ve developed over the past couple years and continue to be a mentor to the students.

Pray that I deepen my relationship with God and gain wisdom through my studies and experiences.

Ask God to equip me with the skills and confidence to serve well in lunchtime groups, Chapel, youth group, and Sunday school.

Pray for open hearts among students and young people, that they may be receptive to learning about Jesus
