Hi! I’m Melanie, and I’m about to jump into my first year of MTS—starting next week! After several years working as a radiographer/sonographer, I’m stepping into full-time ministry training because I’ve been deeply convinced that Jesus is worth giving my whole life to.

It feels a little wild, a lot exciting, and honestly… pretty stretching. There’s fundraising to do (still plenty!), a new rhythm of study and ministry to adjust to, and a whole life to entrust to God’s steady, good hands.

I’m passionate about helping people meet Jesus in the Scriptures, growing myself as a disciple-maker, and seeing God at work in everyday conversations. I’m also unashamedly keen for Christmas events—they’re some of my favourite moments in church life, and I’d love to see many people invited into the hope of Jesus this season.

•Trust in God’s provision: As I continue fundraising, please pray that I would rely on God’s faithfulness rather than stressing or striving in my own strength.

•Smooth transition into MTS life: Pray for energy, humility, and joy as I settle into new routines, grow under training, and step into ministry opportunities.

•Deep personal growth: Ask God to shape me more into the likeness of Jesus—especially in perseverance, love, and prayerfulness.

•Gospel opportunities at Christmas: Pray that our church’s Christmas events would clearly proclaim Jesus, and that I would have boldness and wisdom in inviting people and following up.

•Partnerships: Pray that God would raise up the financial and prayer supporters needed for my apprenticeship.
