Anglican Parish of Cudgegong Valley St James Ryles | Trainer: Joshua Taylor

Greetings,

I’m Levi Kowalczyk, apprentice minister in the Cudgegong Valley Parish of the Anglican Church. I’ve worked in both Agriculture and Ministry over the past few years and have decided to establish a ministry apprenticeship pathway out here in the rural community that I have grown up in and lived in all my life so far.
Through experience as a part time youth minister in my local church of St James, Rylstone, I have felt a calling to pursue further training in ministry and discern my suitability for ordination into the Anglican Church of Australia.
I have decided to undertake a ministry apprenticeship here in a rural parish because I want to best prepare myself for future service in rural parish ministry, particularly in the Anglican Church, as I find doctrinally I am at home there but also because the Anglican Church has historic roots across almost all rural communities in NSW. I believe training in a rural parish will best equip and prepare me for the unique challenges of ministry in the country and there is a desperate need for more ministers to serve in rural parishes. So many churches are without clergy.

Please pray for the following;

• That I will be constantly convicted to remain faithful to Christ and obey His teachings.
• That I will study diligently and work hard, making the most of my apprenticeship.
• For my trainer Josh as he provides me with guidance, wisdom and spiritual counsel. Pray that God will sustain him in this role.
• That the necessary financial funds are raised to support me in my ministry apprenticeship.
• That I can continue to love and serve the people in my community, my neighbours. Pray that I will model Christ in my interactions with the community.
• That the Holy Spirit will work through me to disciple those who are under my ministry.
