“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt 11:28-30

My name is Jono and it was 10 years ago that God in his amazing and irresistible grace used these verses to comfort and humble me to follow Him as Lord and Saviour. Having grown up as a Non-Christian, encountering Christ turned my life upside down. These verses also placed a new burden on my heart for others to know the gospel and to know Christ as Lord, Saviour and King. Over this time, this burden has grown and God has provided many opportunities to spread the gospel, and equip others in the faith. The task of shepherding souls is one that I don’t take lightly, which has led me to consider undertaking MTS to discern whether God has called me into full-time vocational ministry. My hope is that this apprenticeship will equip me in ministry, allow me to test and challenge my convictions, but most of all grow towards a deeper joy in the Lord and his yoke.

• Hannah and I; that God will sustain and protect us, and that we grow to support and spur each other on to love God and His people.
