Colossians 3:15-17

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And always be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and counsel one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Praise God for bringing us together in ministry and mission! I’m thankful for this opportunity to join with my church family who have encouraged me over the last five years to grow in Christ and to seek Him in all things.

I’m thankful to those around me for reflecting Jesus in thought, word and action, and I am pumped to be able to dedicate these next two years and beyond to spreading the gospel message of hope and light in a sin-broken world and investing in the lives God’s placed around me.

A little about me: I have seven siblings. My brother who has cerebral palsy and my sister who has schizoaffective disorder continually inspire me with their faith and endurance, and watching my parents champion their purpose and gifts from God has prompted me to work in the disability and mental health field for the last 15 years. This MTS apprentice role has required me to spend less time with my supported people, but I am very thankful that I am still able to maintain these relationships and I am excited to see how God will continue to work through them. 

Since I first started attending City on a Hill in 2019, I have been massively blessed with opportunities to be part of Next Gen ministry, firstly with City Kids and more recently coordinating City Youth. During my time at COAH, I have learnt from pastors, fellow leaders and many members of the body to follow the Lord and keep looking to Him and depending on Him through all stages of life. I love that as a community we are both able to disciple and be discipled, and encourage each other to live in the Spirit; to put on daily the new life we have been graciously given.

I am slowwwly but surely being shaped by God’s Word, and began studying at Brisbane School of Theology in 2023. Although I still feel like a scrawny fish in terms of Biblical competency, I get to look around in wonder at an epic ocean to grow into, and it’s a joy to experience fellowship with others who are passionate about hearing God’s voice and following His direction.

Thank you for reading this far down the line! I am very, very keen for you to share your story with me. I love hearing testimonies of God’s love in action! My goal is to carry out this apprenticeship in unity with you as a team and I would love for us to be praying together and bearing fruit together, helping each other to carry our burdens and share in the joy of what it is to know our Saviour and be loved by Him. 

Prayer Points

• For God to continue to build His kingdom and save souls amongst City on a Hill and beyond, especially within Next Gen Ministry. Pray that we would witness deep friendships develop, hearts turn to Jesus and young lives be powerfully transformed over the next 2 years!
• For the love of Christ to reach further than we could anticipate – for the Spirit to give us eyes to see and hands that extend to others in barrier-breaking ways.
• On a personal level, for God to grow me in gospel confidence, obedience and sacrificial courage, dependence and knowledge of the Word, diligence to apply myself, to die to self and uphold Christ’s strength through my weaknesses, to draw on God’s wisdom during difficulties and to be lead by the Spirit.
• That we would become a people who chase God’s glory every day, share the joy and testimony of what He has done and is doing and will do, and spur each other on to fight the good fight and finish the race.
