City on a Hill Geelong | Trainer: David Chiswell

Hi there! I’m Jed, recently married to the wonderful Alysha, and I have the privilege of serving our Father in youth ministry at a relatively new City On A Hill church plant in Whittington, Geelong. I have been doing this part time for the last year, and I am so excited now to have the opportunity to spend more of my time in youth ministry across both Geelong and Whittington!

Prayer Points

Writing to the church in Colossae, Paul asks his readers to pray that God would open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ. I would echo this request, and ask for God to continue to open the hearts and minds of the youth in Geelong and Whittington to the good news of Jesus Christ. With so many other voices fighting for position and attention in the hustle and bustle of the teenagers lives today, it is vitally important that we work hard to clearly and boldly proclaim the truth of the gospel into a culture so far removed from following in the way of Jesus.

That I am able to serve Lysh as her sacrificial husband.

That God will be working in my heart, making me more faithful and obedient to His will.

That I would develop more of a heart for prayer, and spend more time talking with God.

That I would be able to resist the temptation to become distracted by things that can waste my time (youtube, movies, phone… the list goes on!).
