Rose City Presbyterian Church Warwick | Trainer: David Bailey

Hi, I’m Daniel Goulding.

From 1 February 2026, I’ll be stepping out of full-time work to begin a two-year MTS apprenticeship at Rose City Presbyterian Church in Warwick, under Rev. David Bailey.

For me, this is a big step trading the security of my ICT job for full-time gospel ministry training.
But it’s also a joyful one. Over the past few years, I’ve felt a growing conviction that life’s best investment is helping others know and follow Jesus especially here in the country, where churches are small, communities are close, and gospel workers are few.

My heart is to see people in rural towns grow in faith and be strengthened by God’s word. MTS is the next step toward that learning to teach the Bible, lead people, and serve His church with both hands.

What I’ll Be Doing

As an MTS Scholarship Team Leader apprentice, I’ll be:

• being mentored in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care, and
• serving across different ministries at Rose City Pres — Sunday services, Bible studies, and Preaching.
• studying theology through Cornhill Australia (the ASTC program)

It’s hands-on gospel training, designed to test and grow my character, convictions, and competence for long-term ministry.

How You Can Partner

The MTS apprenticeship is fully funded through tax-deductible donations.
Each apprentice raises support not as a burden, but as an opportunity to partner in gospel work. My annual scholarship target is $50,000, which covers my living stipend, study costs, and MTS administration.

Prayer Points

• Give thanks for God’s kindness in opening the door for my MTS apprenticeship at Rose City Presbyterian Church next year  and for the faithful people who have already encouraged and supported me.

• Pray for growth in my training that I would keep depending on Christ as I learn to teach His word, lead with humility, and serve the people of Warwick with joy.

• Pray for Rose City Pres that our church would keep reaching our community with the gospel, raising up more workers for country ministry, and seeing people come to trust and follow Jesus.
