Lower Mountains Anglican Parish | Trainer: Nick Lindeback

G’day,

I’m Connor, I’m excited to be dedicating two years (starting July 1st, 2023) to learning what life is like in vocational ministry, and spreading the gospel in a parish environment.

I’ll be training under Nick and the other fantastic staff at Lower Mountains Anglican Parish in the following (non-exhaustive list of) activities:

• Kid’s church
• Let’s Go! JesusClub
• Growth group
• SRE
• Kid’s Club
• Youth Group

Over the two years I’ll be partaking in the MTS program I’ll be working out whether long term vocational ministry is for me, which will have one of two outcomes:

• Staying in vocational ministry, there are multiple avenues for this and we’ll work out which to take as we get closer.
• Going back to the secular workforce, equipped with many soft skills that will be applicable to most any job, as well as practical methods of sharing the gospel in the workplace.

Outside of church I enjoy reading, naps, bushwalks, and long drives.

Prayer Points

This will be a dramatically different work environment to what I’ve been in previously, so it’ll be an adjustment going from being able to clock out in the afternoon to now working when needed.

As always it’ll take some time to settle in, but my second week (10-14 of July) will be a big week with holiday club.

Pray for wisdom when it comes to taking rest and balancing my energy.
