Hi friends, my name is Lizzy and I’m looking forward to starting a 4-day per week two year traineeship in 2026 at Bundoora Presbyterian Church (Bundy) while I continue working one day as a Speech Pathologist.

I hope this traineeship will help me develop gifts, identify weaknesses and consider where I’m best suited in ministry as I consider long-term paid ministry options. I’ll be doing my traineeship at Bundy so I can experience a breadth of ministry contexts and learn from the ministry team who I trust to model to me.

My traineeship will involve on the job training with some theological study. Some of the things we’re planning for me to do as part of this on the job training at church include:

Evangelism (e.g., walk-up, courses)
Reading the bible with people
Young adults ministry (bible study leading, mentoring)
Women’s ministry
Training others
Writing and giving a talk for women
Writing bible studies for me and others to use
Events (e.g., church camp)

I can’t do this alone, I will be relying on God’s gracious provision through people for support including through prayer and giving money. I need $30,000 per year, with MTS providing $5000, Bundy funding $12,500 and raising $12,500 from external supporters. I’m looking for people to partner with me to raise this last $12,500. This could look like a one-off payment, or regular contribution (e.g., monthly, fortnightly). All contrbutions are tax-deductable. Prayer Points

As I start my traineeship please pray:

God will help Bundy, Helen and I to plan well as we consider how to use my time in the year ahead. Pray that God will provide opportunities for me to serve His people and make the gospel known.
God will provide many opportunities for me to help people grow in Jesus and develop ministry skills as I rely on him in my weakness.
God will be growing me in thinking, being and serving like Jesus as I prepare to explore paid ministry and learn.
God will help me serve humbly, like Jesus, and lean in to weakness throughout my traineeship as I rely on his grace. Pray he will help me be open about my weakness so Jesus’ power is made clearer.
