Regeneration Church Monash | Trainer: Paul McIntosh

Hi, my name is John and I am from Regen Mandarin Church, a cross-cultural church plant by Regeneration Church Monash in Clayton, right next to Monash University.

During my ministry apprenticeship, I will serve as one of the preachers at the Mandarin service. I am looking forward to growing in this aspect of the ministry as I can have more time to prepare for each sermon and more opportunities to grow by practice. Meanwhile, I serve as a leader of a Mandarin missional community to host MCs and plan bible studies.

Throughout my two-year apprenticeship program, I will also be enrolled in Morling College Crossway Campus to study Master of Divinity part-time for one unit a semester. I am looking forward to being trained in diving deeper into God’s word, and I plan to finish the degree when I complete the apprenticeship.

To enable me to stay committed for the two-year apprenticeship, I would need a group of ministry partners who regularly pray for me and my ministry. I will send out monthly updates, including ministry stories, things to praise God for, and prayer points for the coming month. Meanwhile, I also need many people to support me financially.

Praise God for:

• The launch of weekly service at Regen Mandarin Church
• Mandarin Alpha Course has finished well
• Good rest during the trip to China

Pray for:

• Good strategy to follow up and assimilate newcomers to the Mandarin Church
• God would raise up more people who are willing to serve, and that He would give us patience and love to train, care for, and support them.
• God would grant us wisdom to know how to encourage and develop more small group leaders.
