Grace Christian Community | Trainer: Tim Grant

Hi, I’m Ian! I’ll be one of the apprentices training at Grace Christian Community in Box Hill South, Melbourne 2025-2026. I’m married to a former MTS apprentice, Amanda, and have one son with another on the way.

Until now, I’ve been working as a doctor. I have grown increasingly aware that medical work and the physical health and well-being of people made in God’s image, though a worthwhile end in itself, ultimately does not achieve eternal, spiritual healing and salvation. Only God and his gospel can do that. I am growing in my conviction that all Christians are called to gospel ministry, some are called to be set aside to work as vocational gospel workers. I wonder if that might be me.

Prayer points:
– Pray for my godliness and character, that throughout this apprenticeship God might be glorified in what I do
– Pray for wisdom and discernment as I use this time to determine how best to steward and use the gifts and everything that God has given me
– Pray for our church, that my apprenticeship would be a blessing to our members and the wider community.
