Heather Priestley
Grace Anglican Churches Camden Valley | Trainer: Karen Lawson-Smith
Two years ago, I moved to the South West of Sydney (near Campbelltown) from the Sutherland Shire and have been attending Grace Anglican Churches in the Camden Valley. This year, I will be doing an MTS (Ministry Training Strategy Apprenticeship) there. This means I’ll be an Apprentice at Grace for two years and will be serving in various different ways including kids and women’s ministries, as well as reading the bible with people one to one. The goal of this is to be trained and tested for full-time gospel ministry, which includes growing in godly character, gospel convictions and ministry competency.
I have been convicted about the need for gospel workers to go out and share the good news of Jesus, and I would like to work in a church or similar setting one day. This traineeship is a good way to test whether I am suited to such a role.

Financially, thanks to my partners I have enough money to support me for the first year of my apprenticeship, and I’m $2,418 from my goal of $37,479 for 2025! Praise God!
Please consider if you could partner financially with me to help reach the amount of money I need to keep doing my apprenticeship full time in 2025.

Prayer Points
Please thank God…
- For so many great “wins” in SRE! New teachers and a really positive and productive meeting with one of the schools.
- That God has been teaching me to rely on Him in prayer more.
- For my partnership event this Saturday (16th of November), and the 15 or so people that are coming. I’m very encouraged 😊
- That the Year 6ers have been warmly welcomed to youth, and lots have come!
Please ask God…
- For diligence and good planning in training up all the new SRE teachers for 2025. Please ask God that I would be a helpful and thoughtful coordinator of this team of people.
- That T would accept my invitation to the Life Course in this final week (14th November), and her studies would not get in the way.
- That I would trust God in prayer in the midst of change and life’s difficulties and disappointments.
- Please pray for me as I prepare a Youth Talk for the girls/boys split night next Friday (22nd November) – my first youth talk, on Ephesians 5! Please ask that I present God’s Word clearly and faithfully.
