Grace Anglican Churches Camden Valley | Trainer: Karen Lawson-Smith

Two years ago, I moved to the South West of Sydney (near Campbelltown) from the Sutherland Shire and have been attending Grace Anglican Churches in the Camden Valley. This year, I will be doing an MTS (Ministry Training Strategy Apprenticeship) there. This means I’ll be an Apprentice at Grace for two years and will be serving in various different ways including kids and women’s ministries, as well as reading the bible with people one to one. The goal of this is to be trained and tested for full-time gospel ministry, which includes growing in godly character, gospel convictions and ministry competency.

I have been convicted about the need for gospel workers to go out and share the good news of Jesus, and I would like to work in a church or similar setting one day. This traineeship is a good way to test whether I am suited to such a role.

Please thank God…

• For the Mark Drama, that the gospel was able to be presented clearly and people have responded, wanting to know more.
• For the Night Church Weekend Away, that it ran smoothly, people enjoyed fellowship with each other and God’s Word was preached faithfully.
• For the holiday Alex and I had in the Phillipines! That though it was busy, it was an enjoyable time away and I came back to work feeling refreshed.
• That Lucy has reached her fundraising goal for Fiji Mission! (5-28th of July)

Please ask God…

• For the final week of our Life Course this Thursday – that God will continue to work in the individuals who have come along after the Mark Drama to find out more about Jesus. Please ask that they may consider the “More To Life” Course that starts next week and goes for another 6 weeks (not including the two week school holiday break). Most importantly, that these people will put their trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
• Please ask for more opportunities to share the gospel with our neighbours, C and P. Unfortunately their son has soccer training at the same time as our kids club, so he can’t attend at the moment.
• Please pray for continued perseverance for Maddie, sharing the gospel with her two friends. She invited one to the Mark Drama, however they unfortunately were sick and couldn’t come.
