St John’s Anglican Cathedral Parramatta | Trainer: Carmen Lau

Hello!

We are the Xings – Nathan and Helen. We’ve been married for 4 years and have had the great joy of serving Jesus together at St Johns Cathedral Parramatta. We met as co-leaders in the post-Year 12 ministry “Connect”!

At our wedding, Helen’s pastor preached on 1 Corinthians 7. 

“What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not; those who mourn as if they were not…those who use the things of this world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away” – 1 Corinthians 7:29-31

This world in its present form is passing away. We long to be trained up and freed up to proclaim the eternal life that is in Jesus! We are doing a year of MTS together to learn how to serve Jesus as a ministry family. 

Helen will be trained by Kids Minister Carmen Lau. Her areas of ministry will include youth Ministry, primary school SRE, playtime, kids church, growth group co-leading and 1:1 ministry.

Nathan will be trained by Youth Minister Jaison Jacob. His areas of ministry will include high school SRE, growth group leading, 1:1 ministry and evangelism.
