Auburn Anglican Church | Trainer: Alison Cocks
Tash is thankful to have grown up with parents who modelled what it looked like to authentically follow Jesus. Her passion for cross-cultural ministry has come from her realisation of the goodness of the Gospel combined with a deep love for different cultures and people. Tash is in her sweet spot when she is eating with middle eastern friends, talking to women in the park or trying to practice her rusty Spanish. Before doing MTS, Tash studied Communications at UTS and practised for a few years with a couple of Christian organisations in the non-profit sector. For the past two years, Tash has also worked one day a week with Auburn Anglican with a focus on work in the community. This included schools ministry, coordinating a food program and building friendships with women in the community.
In 2019-20, Tash is excited to be taking a ‘next step’ to prepare for long-term cross-cultural ministry. She will be doing a full-time MTS apprenticeship with Auburn and Newington Anglican Churches. This will free her up to receive training from experienced gospel workers, keep building on relationships and ministries already established, and train others to God-willing see that work multiply.
That He might increase while I decrease (Jn 3:30).
