Park Road Anglican Church | Trainer: Gary Bennetts

Hi friend, my name is Emma and I have been attending Park Road Anglican Church my whole life. My Mum started bringing my brother and I along from a very young age, and I honestly can’t remember a time where I wasn’t at Park Road on a Sunday! So, when the opportunity was presented to undertake an MTS apprenticeship in 2022-23, I jumped!

Ministry has always been a constant thought, in the back of my mind, but in the last year or so I have been increasingly challenged to consider what full-time ministry could look like in my context. Big conversations with older, godly men and women, and here we are! An MTS Apprenticeship at Park Road Anglican in 2022-23.

My role at Park Road involves…

• Youth ministry
• Women’s ministry and 121’s
• Theological study – Cornhill College
• Staff meetings
• Park Training (Courses that help Christians take their next steps with Jesus)
• Co-leading a Young Adults Bible Study with my husband, Ethan (who is also an MTS Apprentice!)
• Evangelism

Prayer – November 2023

• Pray for the last two months of my MTS Apprenticeship. Pray that I will finish well and continue to focus on people not tasks.
• Pray that I will continue to depend wholly on God, not on my own abilities.
• Pray for Ethan and I as we adjust to my new job next year.
